Navigating the Stars: A Financial Astrology Perspective on the US Stock Market
Navigating the Stars: A Financial Astrology Perspective on the Stock Market following the Gann Master Cycles in the DJIA, SPX and COMPX. May 26th, 2023.
Introduction
Last week, I explored the current economic landscape marked by rising inflation and interest rates, and its potential alignment with the Jupiter-Pluto transit historically linked to financial crises. I also highlighted Raymond Merriman's observation about the typically bearish impact of Jupiter's transit through Taurus on the stock market. My own analysis (click on link) using Timing Solutions software confirmed this pattern, indicating a potential downside risk after the initial positive swing which we currently experience.
In the field of financial astrology, there's an another intriguing pattern that's worth noting. It involves Jupiter, the planet often associated with growth and expansion, aligning with the North Node, a point often linked with destiny.
This alignment has occurred in years that have seen significant stock market panics, such as 1842, 1893, 1907, 1987, and 2009. Interestingly, the only instance when both Jupiter and the North Node were in Taurus, a sign often associated with material wealth, was in 1929, just months before the infamous stock market crash. While the correlation with panics of Jupiter conjunct North Node is low, it's an interesting pattern that could potentially offer some insight into the future market trends.
In the below chart you see the transit during the years before and after the North Node entered Taurus (last time 01/18/2022), with an overlay of the DJIA. The composite of all the years with North Node in Taurus clearly shows the impact of the North Node in Taurus during 1929 on the DJIA. As they say: Forewarned is forearmed.
We do not have a similar economic situation as in 1929 but at the crest of 1929 there was another planetary aspect on which the stock market made a change in trend. This year we see this aspect returning.
In this week's update, I'll go deeper into these findings, following the Gann Master Cycles, and what they could mean for the DJIA, SPX, and COMPX. As mentioned last week, it's important to remember that while we can prepare for potential shifts, the market's actual movements can still surprise us. Let's dive into the possibilities."
