Introduction
With the upcoming eclipse season, a reader asked a question regarding if eclipses can be seen as positive or negative. I answered:
“Eclipses can have positive or negative impacts or even no impact at all. While considerable volatility surrounded these dates in the past year, it may not have affected all markets, stocks or indices similarly. Eclipses act as magnetic force points that can affect future events for several months. When planets align with an eclipse, it creates "hotspot angles", which can result in similar responses in the future on the same angle. The effect differs for all people, stocks and indices. Based on their natal charts, this may affect other areas. I once was affected while travelling and caught in an accident around an eclipse, but this never happened again. Knock on wood.” and…
“Look at Microsoft, which got eclipsed on November 19th, 2021, 3 days before the high, see what happens around later eclipses, and look at similar angles of that date with other planets like Mercury.”
Even looking back from November 2021 in the past, also note that the midpoints (dotted blue vertical line) between two eclipses were certainly moments of trend change, and the angles of Mercury, Venus and Mars (Helio) regularly come back around the eclipses and their midpoints. I will show you in this post how these hotspots continued to be of importance into 2022 and 2023.
In this post on the Gann Master Cycle following the main US Indices, an example of MSFT around eclipses may illustrate the effect of eclipses of stock market trends. With the upcoming eclipse season in October, I overlaid the main US indices charts with the eclipse dates.
